How did Reiki come to me?

   It was not a happy moment in my life. About 25 years ago, my fourth child, Ramiro, was born premature and was very sick. He only lived for 6 months. Those months were very hard since he was all that time in an intensive care unit. But, as everybody who met him said and felt, 'he was an angel' in our lives. We, my husband, and our other kids learned so much from his short time with us. We learned about living the present moment, "here and now," and being grateful for that. We only focused our minds and hearts on what we had and how close we all were supporting one another during that time. I would always be grateful for having had a beautiful baby who taught me to be strong and hopeful, but one of the most important things he brought to me, personally, was Reiki. 

 

   Someone suggested that Reiki would help me to feel calm and relaxed in those difficult times. I had no idea what Reiki was, but as I needed to work on my emotions, fears, and sadness, I made an appointment with Nelly, my first Reiki practitioner. The sessions were like being in paradise. I felt warmth coming from Nelly's hands. It was soothing and relaxing. After every session, I felt more peaceful inside, more hopeful, and stronger. As I felt so well after each session, and little by little, I learned more about this Japanese technique, I asked Nelly to have a healing session on Ramiro and see if Reiki could help him too. I asked permission at the hospital, and there was no objection.

   Nelly did a Reiki treatment on the baby. I was next to her, and I felt so peaceful. All of a sudden, Nelly mentioned something that I couldn't understand at that time: "Ramiro is sending Reiki to me," she said. "How come? What was she talking about?" I didn't give too much thought to that comment and just enjoyed the feeling of peace and calmness. However, sometime later, long after his death, I understood the message my baby was sending me: "Reiki is your path, Mom."

  I feel Reiki as unconditional LOVE, which was brought to me by a pure, innocent, beautiful being that enlightened my path. I am grateful for that.

   Since then, life was in charge of showing me how to follow this path. I met other Reiki practitioners and learned more about this healing technique until I decided it was time to learn it. I took my Reiki Level 1 and 2 with my first Reiki Master Teacher in Toronto, Canada. I then completed the Usui Master Level in Argentina with a beautiful soul, Ricardo Murillo, who is now in spirit. I immediately started to teach Reiki and attune many Reiki practitioners in different countries. I wanted to learn more and went further into other Reiki systems. I then studied with Carolyn Musial and received my Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master in the USA. I also learned from Larelle Shanti Gaia and got certified as a Healing with Crystals Practitioner. I was then introduced to Karuna Reiki® and became a Karuna Reiki® Master Teacher in Stonehenge, the UK, by William Rand. As I am curious and inquisitive, I continued my Reiki journey and learned Komyo Reiki Do from Sensei Hyakuten Inamoto in Toronto. 

 

  As we grow spiritually and we raise our vibration, we need to align to new energies. Recently, I was drawn to learn Holy Fire® Karuna Reiki®, and once again, William Rand, creator of Holy Fire®, was my teacher. It was a profound experience. The last type of Reiki that I was attuned to is Reiki "Arc-n-Ciel", (Arco Iris, or Rainbow), which works with Archangels and Magenta, Platinum, Aquamarine, and Diamantine Rays of the New Age.

 

  I have taught people of all ages, from children to 80-year-olds in South America, Canada, UK, and Spain. And, every one of them amazed me with their openness to self-growth and to healing themselves and others.

  I am grateful to all my Reiki Master Teachers for their knowledge, wisdom and passion. Through Reiki, I have found my true essence, and it is an honor to be able to share this healing technique with those who are committed to their own growth.
